Although, being an employee has bright sides like having a guaranteed fixed income at the end of the month or getting used to specific work style and having less stress to pay your bills, but at the end, there are many things that really sucks with this; feeling of selling your whole time to a boss every day to get a salary in return (even if it is a decent amount) or knowing the fact that when you get back home in the evening, there is almost no time and no energy left to do things you really want to do.
Oh, I hate this feeling.
Why we become frustrated as an employee?
1) Annoying (Extra) Activities
Putting in additional hours for work-related social activities can be draining. Having to attend team-building events and morale meetings are frustrating to the employees who need some rest and having private life out of the work zone.
2) Molesting Colleagues
We spend nearly 8 to 9 hours with co-workers and obviously, they have a direct effect on our mood and feeling at work. People are different and most of the time they can’t get aligned and so they become annoying. Different beliefs, behaviors, and habits can be so troublesome and people suffer from these harassments.
3) Bad Bosses and Superiors
Bosses who steal ideas, act superior, or ignore employees are high on the frustration list for workers. Additionally, lack of leadership and enough instructions will make every employee lost and feel down.
4) Job Insecurity
According to “International Studies of Management & Organization”, job insecurity has direct effects on job attitudes (satisfaction), work behaviors (organizational citizenship behavior and deviant behavior), and negative emotions (anxiety, anger, and burnout). Furthermore, another study showed the Health effects of job insecurity.
5) Boredom at Workplace
Workplace boredom can be as stressful and damaging as overwork; perhaps more. Mostly it comes because of the highly limited or restricted workplace and/or feeling of mismatch between you and your work.
6) Lack of Communication
High-stress levels in the workplace are a huge sign that there are communication problems. Poor communication can create a feeling that everything on an employee’s to-do list is urgent, causing that employee and others to hurry, feel tense, overworked, and have little-to-no sense of humor.
Do you need an ultimate solution?
If you search on the internet, we will absolutely find hundreds of articles and blogs trying to give some solutions and hints for each of the above issues. Let’s be honest with you; I have worked as an employee for many years. Truth is some of those hints can work under special conditions and environments. However, the problem is they are mostly intrinsic properties of corporate businesses. I mean they can be improved for a while but with a change in your superior, office, or moving to a new project, you will find yourself faced the same issue again and again.
Instead, Think about this: living the life with traveling all around the world and having an online business, which gave you both financial and geographical freedom with a lot of time to enjoy the life in the way you desired, enough time to spend with your loved ones and seeing them every day.
